Jay Chou's on my playlist?
Yes you've read me right
What a tiring week I must say. UOB, Bossini and ATEAM. Not forgetting Starbuck-ing. Another thing I noted, (this may sound disgusting) I cleared my bowels more often than usual. I mean that's a good thing right, clearly showed my metabolism rate is increasing. On another note, I'm slowly loosing the reds.
In case you don't know, Dove has just introduced the Self-Esteem Fund for young girls. I totally support this act. Visit: Campaign For Real Beauty.
Afro mentioned that you don't have to look pretty on the surface; in other words you don't have to look into your reflection in the MRT and comb your hair for an umpteen no of times. It's how we are on the inside. And clearly many don't see that. Just like the battle on the first episode of Arena. Something about good looks and first impressions amounts to success. I just want to say that of coz what's on the outside don't necessarily promised what's on the inside. We'll never know once we crack open the person. Still, a fair share of it comes from the whole physical package itself. Sloppiness defintely does not amount to a good first impression; so be neat at least.
Quoting from Afro, "I rather get to know him myself than judge him from others." That statement hit me hard; in a good way. I noticed how inclined we are on the physical side. I'm one of them. I looked at people everyday and I start comparing. Sometimes even judging. I'm human just like you. In other words, look at a person through his/heart not through his/her face. One may look like gangster-on-the-loose with tatoos, but he may not be one. He just see tatoos as art. So get the idea.
I love myself; really.
And it's time I start loving myself even more.
So should you.
Heck to the people who only see the ugly side of you, coz only you can see how beautiful of a person you are/can be. If people judge you by the way you look, tell yourself you're special and God made you this way for a reason. I'm short. But what my Judo trainer said to have kept me motivated till today, "Sweetie, good things come in small packages." If looks are what really matter in this world, we might as well run our daily lives naked. Right?
And it's time we see the true beautiful things around us,
of which we are oblivious to.
